Install-Block 1.2

Install-Block allows you to prevent the installation of software by locking this action with a password. With Install-Block you can prevent users from installing unwanted software, which can potentially contain spyware or adware. It also allows you to block use of any application you want, including system tools, chat programs, games, and file-sharing applications.

• Prevent users from installing, or un-installing, any program
• Prevent users from deleting files, emptying the Recycle Bin, and accessing components such as Display Properties, Internet Options, XP Task Manager, and the Run dialog
• Prevent children from using instant messaging programs, file-sharing programs, or other content you find unsuitable
• Prevent employees from playing games such as Solitaire
• Password-protect nearly any program or window you choose
• Ability to have the program launch at system-start only if the user name logging into Windows matches a list of users you create
• Program can be completely hidden from view, with no system tray icon, and accessed with a hotkey
• Administrators can remotely grant or deny access to a blocked program on a networked user's machine
